He also introduced us to Ivan who is a true professional in property management and Ivan has since been making sure that all our bills are paid on time and helps to look after everything that is required, he is a true gem.

I can’t say enough great things about Tony at Calabria Reality Group. I’ve worked with multiple estate agents in Italy, and there is no comparison. (Tony is the Rolls Royce in a car lot full of Ford Escorts.) The first thing you’ll notice about Tony is that he is genuinely passionate about Calabria and especially Scalea. He has lived in the city for 17 years, and is member of the community. (Because of his personal connections- he has access to properties that may officially be “off market.”) The second thing you’ll notice is Tony’s kindness and how he genuinely cares about his clients. Tony meets you – escorts you to the property – explains the history– and helps you with everything from finding the best gelato in Scalea to taking you to the furniture store to for estimates on an updated kitchen. Tony is a true gem and I am very lucky to have found him!

My wife and I recently purchased a ruin in Scalea, Italy in the Old Town section. We researched this area of Italy (Calabria) on line extensively and settled on Scalea because of its proximity to the water, rail service and main road access. We settled on Calabria Realty to help with our purchase because of Tony who is from the UK and spoke English. We arranged the purchase and flew to Italy to view the property before the purchase. Tony set up the closing with the Notary, helped us establish an arrangement with a contractor and chauffeured us to various material suppliers so we could pick out Tile, a kitchen, work with a Geometra to establish a floor plan and get our Italian tax identification (Codice Fiscale). This process was daunting but would never have happened without Calabria Realty Group and Tony Hackett.
